“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
Acts 3:1-11 gives a good outline for soul-winning in three basic steps:
1) SHARE YOUR TESTIMONY. Peter said, “Look on us!” Often, people are not able to understand God, but they are drawn to YOU and your Christian testimony. Let them see Jesus through YOU!
2) POINT THEM TO JESUS. Peter said, “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ….” After people like what they see in YOU, then tell them WHAT it is that they see and WHERE you got it. Introduce them to salvation.
3) TAKE THEM TO CHURCH. Here is the step often overlooked. After introducing them to Jesus, teach them how to follow Him. This is discipleship. Peter “took [the cripple] by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.” The NIV says he “held on to Peter and John.” They led him by the hand into the temple. Take some ongoing responsibility for the people you lead to Christ.
PRAY: “Omnipotent Father, thank You for giving me a pattern to follow that I might be more productive in introducing Christ to others. Grant me more faith, courage, boldness, and opportunities. In Jesus’ Name, amen.”
