March 16 – Releasing The Power

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.  Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21

If you are a believer in Jesus, you have the promise of God’s POWER working within you, especially if you have received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit spoken of in Acts 1:8. That resident POWER is the supernatural presence of God. That presence IS God, manifested in the person of His Holy Spirit.

God is a loving Father. He loves to do good things for His children. Like any father, He loves to give good gifts to His children; BUT He is bound by His own Word, His own laws, His own sovereign balance of justice, to act in response to your OBEDIENCE.

Herein lies a secret…the secret of SEEKING God. SEEKING God is PURSUING God…desiring Him so diligently that you are willing to expend yourself, inconvenience yourself, and deny yourself on His behalf. You are willing to put your agenda aside to pursue His agenda.

When you give yourself to SEEKING God, His promise to you is miraculous REWARDS. SEEK Him diligently and recover your REWARD. (Hebrews 11:6.)

PRAY: “Father of lights, every good and perfect gift comes from You, and there is no variableness in Your justice system.* I seek to know You more. In Jesus Name, amen.”

*James 1:17 (paraphrased)

Make me an instrument of Your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light; and
Where there is sadness, joy.

“O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much
Seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that I receive;
It is in pardoning that I am pardoned; and
It is in dying that I am born to eternal life.”

There is nothing you can do…to make God love you more!
There is nothing you can do…to make God love you less!

His love is…

March 14 – The Battle Cry of Praise

“And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praise, unto the Lord.” Psalm 27:6

As you discover the joy of singing praises to the Lord, consider also that the same Hebrew word for “sacrifices of joy” (terou’a) is used for the battle cry of the soldiers in time of war.

Amos 1:14 describes a “shouting [terou’a] in the day of battle.” Indeed, the New International Version of Psalm 27:6 gives the interpretation as: “…at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy…” The word “shouting” appears many times in the Psalms. So do not be afraid to make noise.

Jeremiah 4:19 mentions “the sound of the trumpet, the alarm [terou’a] of war.” The same battle cry that fills the enemy with terror brings blessing and praise to God!

Today, if you feel under attack by the enemy or if you are suffering defeat in your life…SING the song of PRAISE unto the Lord. The battle cry of PRAISE will cause the enemy to retreat, and you will find yourself the winner of a great spiritual battle.

PRAY: “I will sing praise to you with the lyre, 0 Holy One of Israel. My lips will shout for joy when I sing to you I, whom you have redeemed.’* Thank You for victory, Father! Amen.”

*Psalm 71:22b-23 (NIV)
