March 19 – Prosperity

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

Are you interested in prosperity? I am not talking about a “name it, claim it, and frame it” doctrine; I am talking about a biblical promise of success and prosperity to those who SEEK GOD!

Psalm 34:10b says: “…but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.”

Psalm 1:1-2 speaks of the man who delights in the Lord and who meditates on the Lord day and night. That sounds like a man who is SEEKING GOD! Verse 3 reads: “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Yes, PROSPER!

God is a loving Father who wants to take good care of His children. However, the laws that govern the universe require that you take an interest in God first…recognize Him as your Source and the Creator of all things. This acknowledgment brings you into a right RELATIONSHIP with God and tends to PROSPERITY!

PRAY: “Creator God, I desire to seek Your face first today. I know You own ‘the cattle upon a thousand hilIs* and will supply ALL my needs, spiritually and physically.* Thank You! In Jesus’ Name, amen.”

*Psalm 50: 10b; Philippians 4:19 (paraphrased)
