October 28 – The Devil’s Limitations

“And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.” Luke 10:17

Do not give the devil more power than his due. God has limited his power
and “greater is he [God] that is in you…” (I John 4:4). The devil’s loud roar is the strongest tool that he has. It is a tool of deception, to paralyze you with fear and uncertainty.

1) The devil is NOT OMNIPOTENT – He does not have unlimited power; but Jesus does have all power, in heaven and earth (Matthew 28:18), and He has delegated it to us! (See Luke 10:19.)

2) The devil in NOT OMNIPRESENT – He is a created being, limited to being at one place at a time. Now, granted, he does have lots of assistants, but God is everywhere present, and “where two or three [of us] are gathered in [His] name”…Jesus is there (Matthew 18:20).

The devil is NOT OMNISCIENT – He does not know all things. He cannot read your mind, and this gives God a great advantage. When the devil plants an evil thought, God can enliven His Word in your mind and, through your confession, Satan is defeated!

PRAY: “Powerful Lord, help me to recognize my advantage over the devil through a deep understanding of my strength in You. In Jesus’ Name, amen.”

October 27 – Victory Over Satan

“Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11

The devil is “wily.” He is a schemer, and you should not be ignorant of his devices. (See II Corinthians 2:11.) Here are a few of his favorite tools:

1) OPPOSITION – His name, Satan, means “opposer,” and he opposes everything that is godly. He takes no “time outs” or weekends off. He capitalizes on your weaknesses and will attack you when you are down.

2) IMITATION – He wants to be like God, so he specializes in imitating religion; sometimes being transformed into an angel of light or minister of righteousness (II Corinthians 11:14-15), deceiving the very elect (Matthew 24:24).

3) ACCUSATION – He is the accuser of the brethren, accusing believers day and night (Revelation 12:10), bringing up the past, and trying to cause people to doubt God’s Word.

Your faith in God gives you the victory over Satan (I John 5:4); Christ has put all things UNDER HIS FEET; and you are part of HIS BODY! (Ephesians 1:22).

PRAY: “Victorious Lord, You have given me authority ‘over all the power of the enemy,’* and I stand on that authority today. ‘Nothing shall by any means hurt [me].’* Amen.”

*Luke 10:19

October 26 -Staying Healed

“Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.” Revelation 3:11

How many times have you observed somebody miraculously healed in a service only to lose it days or weeks later? Here are some biblical principles to help you stay healed:

1) Submit to God. (James 4:7) Keep a humble heart, always giving God all the glory for the miracle He performed.

2) Resist the devil. (James 4:7) Do not allow the devil to rob you through fears and doubts. “Casting down imaginations…and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” (II Corinthians 10:5)

3) Walk by faith, not by feeling. (II Corinthians 5:7) If symptoms reappear, keep confessing your healing through eyes of faith. “…we look not at the things which are seen [temporal], but at the things which are not seen [eternal]….” (II Corinthians 4:18a)

4) Guard your confession. (Matthew 12:37) “For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” Make sure your confession lines up with God’s Word and call “those things which be not as though they were.” (Romans 4:17).

PRAY: “Father God, I align myself with Your Word and stand upon the promise that, by Your Son’s stripes, I am healed. Thank You for giving me this assurance. In Jesus’ Name, amen.”
