“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” I Corinthians 2:9-10
Aren’t you glad that God has some THINGS prepared for you of which you cannot even imagine or conceive? God knows better than YOU do what you need, and He wants to reveal these things to you. You can anticipate these things as a child would anticipate what is inside of a wrapped gift. Part of the excitement of gift-giving at Christmas is to see the gifts under the tree and to wonder what might be inside.
God wants you to wonder about the THINGS He has for you…“yea, the deep things of God.” The gifts God gives will help you get to know Him better. He has already given you the gift of the Holy Spirit, Who is constantly making intercession for you “according to the [perfect] will of God” (Romans 8:27). Your Father is constantly searching your heart and determining your needs so that He can give you the things to help you know Him better!
Will you become more sensitive to God today? Your spiritual sensitivity begins with your ANTICIPATION of His interest in you. Develop a deep desire to really know God and receive all that He has for you.
PRAY: “You know better than I what things I need of You. I open my heart today to receive every good and perfect gift. Amen.”
